This is a six-month Certificate program that is available for candidates desiring additional training in obesity, metabolic & nutrition.

Considering the alarming rise (in all socio-economic strata of society) of obesity pandemic & the co-morbidities & mortality linked with it, it is of paramount importance to structurally train the medical fraternity to diagnose, stage & scientifically manage the disease in timely manner. The chronicity of the disease demands periodic hand-holding of the patient. To make the treatments & preventive program effective, we have to make the accessible and because clinicians are primary contact points of the patients, their role is pivotal.


The goal of this Certificate Program is to provide the graduates in health sciences with comprehensive academic, research and clinical training in Obesity Management and Nutrition. This will include learning the pathophysiology, evaluation, diagnosis and current Standard Management for obesity and related co- morbidities. There will be a very strong emphasis on clinical application & research.
